It´s time for Stockholm Furniture Fair again, and this year Lauritzon has its own, beautiful stand located at A06:12. At the stand you can meet Roland “Rolle” Lauritzon, who is company´s CEO, already in third generation, and Corinne Lauritzon, marketing and creative director of Lauritzon. Linus Lauritzon, the company’s sales director, as well as Camilla Hökerberg, who is the responsible for sales in Sweden and Norway, are also at the stand.
This year, the most important theme of the stand is recycled, responsibly produced fabrics. For Lauritzon, it is particularly important to create a more responsible and sustainable textile industry. At the stand you can see Lauritzon greencare collection, which consists of fabrics that are made from at least 50% recycled material, and several greencare fabrics are made from 100% recycled material. The greencare collection is constantly growing in order to offer suitable options for as many spaces as possible.
In the field of sustainability, it is always better the more extensive the reform work is, and Lauritzon wants to be an operator that moves the entire textile industry forward. Together with LUT University, the company has conducted a qualitative study measuring the responsibility and commitment of fabric suppliers to sustainable development in the future. In the future, the research will be carried forward and a quantitative study which will concern all suppliers, and therefore all fabrics, will be done. Corinne Lauritzon reminds that in addition to responsibility, it is good to keep other values in mind: “Just recycled material is not enough, if the fabric is not beautiful and durable, only a product that is actually used can be ecological.”
At the moment, the colors showcase warm shades of brown and brick, feminine pink and many shades of green. Different shades of red are also a strong trend, like rich oxblood red and warm tomato soup.
At the stand, you can see Lauritzon’s new fabrics glowing in warm colors and lovely patterns. At the moment, there are especially different bouclee fabrics, both in patterns, stripes, and surfaces, trending. The colors showcase calming earth tones, from creamy white to brown, feminine pink and various shades of green and yellow. Different shades of red, like oxblood and rusty brick tones, are also coming in strongly. The patterned fabrics show classical floral patterns with a modern twist, small-scale patterns, and graphical patterns.
“The fact that the fabric feels wonderful and brings joy to the user is really important to us – it is where our motto “A feel for fabric” comes” says Corinne. Lauritzon’s people wish all new and old friends welcome to stop by booth A06:12, have a look and feel the selection of fabrics and the atmosphere!
