A warm start to the autumn season
This August we opened the doors at Tehtaankatu for the morning we look forward to all year — the Lauritzon brunch. Moving the event to August gave the season the best possible start: just back from the summer break, with new collections to share and the whole autumn still ahead.
The courtyard terrace filled with morning sun, Lettuce Date served a generous brunch, and the showroom hummed with the people who make our world what it is — designers, architects and friends of the house.
A look at the season ahead
Twice during the morning, Corinne Lauritzon walked guests through the autumn’s new arrivals, the new collection and the directions shaping the season: soft chenille first of all — the softer the better — and the return of pattern, especially small patterns and stripes.

A collaboration close to our hearts
Lauritzon X Niemi Design X Sidoste
A partnership we’re especially proud of: three Finnish family businesses, each led by its fourth generation, united by a love of materials, design and beauty. Our fabrics — the new easycare stripe Preppy, with Catz and Zoom — dressed Niemi Design’s Helmet chair and ottoman and reappeared in Sidoste’s socks: the same pattern running from fabric to furniture to sock. They’re made for dark autumn and winter evenings, when there’s nothing better than curling up on a Niemi Design sofa dressed in Lauritzon’s soft fabrics. All three houses presented it together, with real enthusiasm.
〞We share the same values: a love of high-quality materials, timeless design, and a belief that generations of Finnish family craftsmanship can create something genuinely new and interesting. 〞

The new fabrics
But the morning truly belonged to the fabrics. Our new autumn collection glows in warm tones and wonderfully soft textures, with a fresh wave of stripes and small patterns running through it.
Feel & Moss — two of our softest chenilles in earthy tones, with a gentle sheen on Feel.
Julia — a water-washable watercare fabric with a sophisticated matte sheen, hard-wearing enough for homes with children and pets, in a wide range of calm and bolder shades.
Aino & Alvar — a pair of stripes named after the Aaltos: Alvar a clean, minimal line, Aino like a string of pearls.
Anywhere — equally at home indoors and out, with excellent light-fastness and a beautiful natural texture.
The collection has grown in other ways, too — new stripes such as Carl (a narrower-striped companion to Preppy) and Moyo Stripe, made to pair with the plain Moyo, plus the durable, family-friendly Happy.
And new for Lauritzon, many fabrics now come in a fire-resistant version — just ask our team.

These new fabrics arrive in our range and stock during September. To see the fabrics live visit our Tehtaankatu Shop & Showroom, or reach your Lauritzon contact to see them in person.
Seen around the showroom
Alongside our own collection, the morning brought together other brands we’re glad to show. Our fabrics came to life on Boknäs’s 30th-anniversary furniture — the Howard sofa in Diane, soft and feminine in yellow and white, and the Howard chair in Marseille, a small floral in yellow, rose and white. Adea’s Break sofa, dressed in Zoom, made a striking centrepiece in the room. Representatives from four of our favourite houses joined us too: Philip Wray (Thibaut), Jesper Ohlsson (Cole & Son), Lari Bourgoin (Casamance) and Olivier Lefevre (Elitis).
A warm thank-you to everyone who joined us — for the conversations, the inspiration and the easy August morning. We can’t wait to see where the new season takes your projects!
