William Morris

William Morris textiles represent the English Arts & Crafts style and The Modern Style from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. In Scandinavia this style was given a national romantic connotation and was named Jugend.

William Morris was the pioneer in industrial textile design in England in the late 1800’s. He laid the foundation for the amazing fabric and wallpaper collections that have been used in homes around the world, upper-class castles and in London’s pubs. William Morris fabrics are mainly made of cotton and linen, with linen that are also suitable as furniture fabrics. Morris fabrics can be used both for the upholster of antique furniture and for more modern furnishings. The fabrics are great for combining with Jugend style interiors.
