John Boyd founded the first horsehair weaving mill in 1837 in Somerset, England. The factory still operates today with the same machines and technology. Horsehair fabrics are very durable and easy to handle.
The luxurious horsehair fabric is fireproof – it is suitable for use in commercial spaces including churches, concert halls, as well as in entertainment areas and in the home. It is possible to get the fabric with specific logos or other embroidery, as warp cotton, linen and silk are used and horsehair for the fabric’s weft. The width of the fabric is 55-65 cm depending on the type.
